Who are our volunteers? They're the unsung heroes who keep Town Center Theatre running. Our volunteers help us save a substantial amount of money and countless hours of work by giving us their most valuable gift: their time. Here are few ways that volunteers can help:

USHERS are Town Center Theatre's ambassadors to the guests at our shows. Ushers take tickets, sell concessions, help patrons find their seats, assist our house manager as needed, and generally make the theatre-going experience more enjoyable. Plus, as an usher, you see the show for free! Ushering is an excellent community service opportunity for students, or anyone who is interested in helping people. A warm smile and helpful personality are a must! If you're the kind of person who likes to have something to do everywhere they go, ushering may be the perfect opportunity for you!

PROGRAM AD SALES are a great way to let local businesses know about their services! Every patron at a Town Center Theatre show receives a program, and many of them keep them as keepsakes of their experience. Our program ad salespeople are pleasant, cheerful, and available to make phone calls during the work day, Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.. Some visitation may also be required. All of our program ad salespeople are thoroughly trained by our staff.

PROMOTIONAL HELP is all about sharing the message of Town Center Theatre. From distributing brochures and materials to organizations to helping out at one of our events (our annual gala, The Woodlands Waterway Arts Festival), send us an e-mail and we'll tell you how you can help!

VOLUNTEER STAFF OPPORTUNITIES give you the chance to become involved with Town Center Theatre in a big way! These positions are currently either non-paying or paid on a show-by-show basis only. These are the positions we seek to fill with only our most dedicated volunteers, those who want to build their theatre resumes, or individuals who are interested in being part of the long-term plan at Town Center Theatre.

Available Positions: Box Office Manager, House Manager, Technical Director, Public Relations Coordinator, Director of Development, Production Manager, Webmaster.

BOARD MEMBERS: Are you interested in joining our board of directors? Town Center Theatre's Board is a group of highly motivated, skilled individuals who are leaders in the community. Their job is to help the theatre earn revenue, either by securing corporate and private donations, or by generating ticket revenue. Board members are also expected help recruit new board members as terms cycle in and out.
