JOSEPH MILILLO – (Artistic Director) Joseph Milillo graduated from Houston’s University of St. Thomas in 2003, where he received his degree in drama, as well as Outstanding Graduate in Theatre honors. As a student, his production of Speed-the-Plow ranked 1st in the university’s biennial student directing program, attaining such recognition that he was asked back in 2006 to guest direct the drama department’s production of Much Ado About Nothing. Elsewhere, he has directed at such Houston-area theatres as the Country Playhouse (Mister Roberts and Bell, Book, and Candle) and Fort Bend Theatre (The Compleat Works of William Shakespeare – Abridged and You Can’t Take It With You, which broke all previous box-office records for a non-musical production at FBT). After graduation, Joey served as the Director of Educational Programming for Houston’s Ensemble Theatre, which, under his tenure, introduced two new productions (21st Century Groove, and The Breeze, the Gust, the Gale, and the Wind) that remain in the company’s repertory to this day. Joseph also oversaw the Ensemble’s Young Performers’ Program in 2004. He has been a part of the educational staff of the Bayou Bend Collection at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, since 2005 and currently serves as Coordinator of Public Programs. For Town Center Theatre, Joseph has co-directed Quilters with Chris Tennison, and appeared in Night and Her Stars as Herb Stempel. This season, he will again team up with Chris to direct All in the Timing, as well as helm the 2008 summer musical, Godspell.
