Friends,
On behalf of Town Center Theatre, we wish to thank you for your continued support of our efforts to bring quality professional theatre to the Montgomery County area. We hope you have enjoyed our productions thus far, and have been open to the wide range of ideas, viewpoints and visions that each show provides. You truly have been fantastic supporters, and for that, we thank you!
That said, like many other organizations who rely on donations and gifts to continue operations, we have been adversely impacted by the current state of the economy. Given the costs associated with producing the quality work that you have come to expect from us, and that our community can be proud of, we have concluded that, in the spirit of fiscal responsibility, we will be restructuring this season's offerings.
This means two things for our subscribers:
1. We will be selling tickets on a per-show basis rather than seasonally.
2. We will be suspending our summer musical this year and plan to resume productions later in the fall.
This was not an easy decision to make, but it was one that will ensure we can remain financially stable in these difficult times. Despite this season restructuring, Town Center Theatre will remain operational. We are not closing our doors!
Currently, we are looking for ways to continue offering programming over the course of the next few months. For instance, we will eventually be announcing a cabaret and dinner series, as well as providing information on our efforts to acquire our own performance space, which will allow us to expand our offerings even further. In addition, we will continue to provide acting classes for the youth of Montgomery County, which we hope to eventually expand into courses for high school students and adults. We will keep you updated on the status of these programs in future issues of our e-newsletter.
In the meantime, if you have any questions at all, please contact us at (832) 592-9697, or e-mail us at tctinfo@yahoo.com.
While we're truly disappointed in having to make these difficult decisions, we have no doubt that Town Center Theatre will be able to weather this financial storm and eventually come back stronger than ever! When one door closes, another window of opportunity will open...and when it comes to the theatre, truly, anything can happen!!
As always, we'll see you at the show!
